I Am Gay

First Love, Worst Pain So I met a guy online, sadly just about the only way I can meet gay men. We talked non stop for a month before meeting. He was great. We had similar personalities, some common interests, both loved... [more]

    Need help/advice
I'm from the USA, but I'm considering moving. I am finishing school and will likely work for three or so years saving up and will look to move away. I have two places in mind: London, England and Vancouver, Canada. I'd love to live in either place but I really favor Vancouver for many reasons. The issue I have with Vancouver is cost. Does anyone live in Vancouver or know exactly what the costs are on average of food, clothing, insurance rates, areas with affordable housing, etc. I am going to be a Special Education teacher so I won't have a very big salary at all so I need to figure this out. I know it is expensive to live there but I know they have teachers so how are they living there? … [more]

I have some really great friends, but I feel lonely more and more often. I want a boyfriend, someone who I can just be close to, but I live in an area that is not very open and it is difficult to meet gay men. I am not saying that I'll never find anyone, I just feel so lonely right now that it's eating me up. … [more]

I usually blog about current events or various issues going on. Today I need to vent a bit. I met a guy online a little while back. He was really cute and sweet and we seemed to have common interests and both wanted a serious relationship. We clicked. I don't need to go into detail here because most of you know how it feels to just click with someone. The problem was it was over the internet and text message. I asked him out on a date and we were set to go out. I was so excited for our date because we really clicked and though it wasn't long we had been talking, I cared for him. I tend to get emotional and invested in my relationships with anyone. My friends are all very important and I ge… [more]

  • Straight Acting?

    Posted on: April 4th, 2010 at 4:47PM

Why do people insist on using sexuality as a way to describe personality? I am Gay. Do I act Gay? Yes. Do I act Straight? No. Does that mean I speak with a high voice or with a lisp, wear pink and decorate my room with purple and pink wallpaper, listen to nothing but pop music by Cher or Lady Gaga or Britney spears, watch nothing but romantic comedies and fashion TV shows, flaunt my sexuality around town, and love dance rather than sports? NO! I have an averaged toned voice. My room is very plain with only decoration being sports memorabilia/posters. I don't care for the color pink but don't have anything against it. I listen to all kinds of music that includes Bon Jovi, Nas, Garth Brooks… [more]

I went out the other day and wrecked my perfect driving record :( I rear ended a truck in front of me. I hit the breaks but seemed to not slow down fast enough and there weren't any skid marks so I'm a little concerned that they didn't work properly. No one was hurt, but my truck was severely messed up. I had a few panic attacks last week afterward once I got into the privacy of my apartment. My friends and my mom had to calm me down over the phone. Anxiety problems really suck when little things go wrong, they are murder when big things go wrong. Over the weekend I read two romantic novels and am feeling pretty sappy. I don't normally read books cuz I'm lazy, but I read two in three days… [more]

  • Senseless Death

    Posted on: April 1st, 2010 at 10:48AM

Keith Kimmel was found dead today. He was a man in Oklahoma who applied for a license plate that said "IMGAY". He had been denied the plates and took the issue to court. Eventually he won, but the ruling was overturned. It was overturned not because the ruling was wrong, but because the courts that ruled in favor of Kimmel did not have the authority to rule over civil rights violations. Kimmel recently was removed from a Gay club in Tulsa and sustained several injuries. Kimmel accused several unnamed Tulsa Police officers of brutality and harassment over his weight and sexuality. We don't know what the cause of death is and we don't know what will come of the Tulsa Police who may have b… [more]
