    You know, I've spent the last eight years working full time while also working toward a BS in Computer Information Systems.  I've been hoping to transition out of working in the trades to eventually being a DBA or maybe an applications developer.  Right now, I'm three credit hours shy of the BS.  So, I've been sending out resumes for what people would consider entry level jobs.I just had a job interview for an entry level developer.  The folks were a little surprised to see me, considering I'm 47.  One of the interviewers point blank come out and said, "We typically prefer our entry level candidates to have a lot less life experience right out of college."  Like, dude!  Isn't that illegal?  … [more]
