    The Unemployment Rate is down, AND 20,000 people lost their jobs. Sounds like the economy is still doing terrible. It also seems to me that the reason that the Unemployment Rate is down because a lot of people stopped looking for jobs (discouraged). People not actively looking for work are not considered unemployed.… [more]

    I think it is bad to think about divorce. Once you start entertaining the thought, you might as well have given up. The only thing worse is getting to the point of mentioning it. At that point, I really stopped investing in the relationship. I started to become selfish. I started thinking: "I don't have to put up with this", rather than "What can I do to make things better?" I have all but given up the relationship. Only my belief in God, and being afraid of the unknown, keep me from going full speed ahead for a divorce. It was funny the other day.     I don't understand bonds right now. Long-term rates are suppose to be the average of expected future short-term rates.With the amount of debt the Federal Government is piling up, I can't see how interest rates will not skyrocket. There is only so much demand out there for US Treasury Debt, and demand is declining as the USA spends (and thus borrows) like a drunken sailor (with apologies to all the Navy people out there).The bond market is not being efficient right now.… [more]
