One Of The Coolest Things I've Ever Seen I grew up on a forty acre farm that was haunted so encountering the paranormal was a fairly common occurrance, but we seldom actually saw the travellors that came through our home.  One night I did... [more]

  • I Hate It When People Don't Take Care of Their Pets

Well, it's January second already.  We didn't have church this morning because they couldn't get the heat to work at the funeral home where we meet.  We meet there because we sold our church building this past fall and we can meet at the funeral home for 500.00 a year.  We are a small congregation so this place is perfect for us.  I haven't walked the dogs for two days because of the cold and because the roads are unusually narrow right now because of the snow and there isn't anyplace to get off the road if a car comes by.  Happily we have a large back yard and I have shovelled out an area for the dogs and out to the birdfeeders, so they aren't completely housebound, but it isn't the same as… [more]

  • Good Day

    Posted on: January 3rd, 2011 at 7:58PM

It was a good day today! I went for a run, walked both of the dogs, washed three loads of clothes, ran the dishwasher, shelved some books, worked on a piece I'm writing, and helped with dinner.  I know it doesn't seem like that much but most of my days are a struggle just to do anything, or even function at all, so this was a great day!… [more]
