Try I've decided a song I really want to cover is "Try" by P!nk. She inspires me in so many ways. The fact that she keeps pushing herself to get better is probably one of the biggest motivators for me. I... [more]

I don't think most people can understand why extremely intelligent people become easily depressed. The answer is relatively simple. We never achieve anything. We don't have to work to make an essay sound good. We just... Do it... There is no sense of achievement... And all we can then think, is that there were a few things that could have been improved. Though it doesn't mean anything. We can never get that sense of accomplishment, because we can work out how things are done. There is no mystery, no rhyme, no meaning to our existence... And while we see that there is the option of death as an escape from this boredom, we understand that it is the morally stupid thing to do. So we float throu… [more]

  • The 28 Day Fitness Challenge... day 2

    Posted on: July 18th, 2012 at 8:01AM

So... Day 2... Wednesday...I got up at 6:45am, after about 2 hours of sleep, so I was EXHAUSTED. I just couldn't get to sleep last night. It was pretty bad. I just kept tossing and turning. However, I got out of the house by about 7am, and went for a 1.5 hour walk. I think I walked somewhere between 7-8km... so that's okay... I think... Well... legs are pretty sore...So I'm supposed to do 2x1 hour walks per day, but wednesdays and thursdays aren't possible to do that, since I get home too late from work, so my substitution is to do a 1.5 hour walk, and then a fast walk to and from the station when I go to work... which is roughly equivalent to a 2 hour walk... :/Um... I had porridge with soy… [more]

    Posted on: August 14th, 2012 at 6:38PM

Okay so ultimately, I failed with this... HOWEVER... I DID manage to get into a kind of routine... I think I still need a lot of work on my eating habits... but I'm exercising much more, and am actually conscious about making time to exercise rather than just putting it off saying I have more important things to do... I found that if I had a 10 minute break, and jumped on the exercise bike for a little bit, when I went back to studying, I felt much better :)Unfortunately, all my work is going down the drain at the moment as I am terribly sick... I think it's just a cold, but I am one of the WORST patients you would ever meet... however, knowing what to do helps a lot... DRINK LOTS OF GREEN T… [more]
