    37 year old Kelly Thomas was homeless and mentally ill. On July 5, 2011 6 Fullerton police officers beat Thomas within an inch of his life. 5 days later Kelly Thomas lost that inch. Eye witnesses state that Thomas had been tasered 5 times and beaten for 10-15 minutes by the half dozen police officers. Now Chief Michael Sellers and the 6 officers are on leave pending the investigation. However, key footage of the that was captured during this blatant disregard for human rights is being held by Orange County D.A. Tony Rackauchas until the investigation is complete.
