I Don't and Won't Cyber

I Used To... but no more.  It's not fair to the woman I love. I used to do it because I was bored with my life; no longer. The woman I am with satisfies me in every way I can imagine.  I... [more]

    Why Do I Bother?
I have done things that have hurt the love of my life in so very many ways.  I will regret them until the day I die.  But no matter how many times I tell her that I am past that part of my life (a part I never thought I'd be in in the first place), she can't let go.How do I convince her?  I try to be a loving, caring partner in all aspects of our life together, but she keeps going back to that one incident as an indicator that I'm not trustworthy.  I know she loves me.  And I keep telling her that I love her as I have loved no other.  Yes, we are soul mates; twin flames, if you will.  She affects me in ways no other woman ever has and I know never will.Do I look at other women?  Of course I … [more]

    Sometimes, Drivers Surprise You...
Last night, we were driving down the Pike at about 75 in the middle lane.  A car in the left lane about 10 car lengths ahead appeared to have a blowout.  The car swerved toward the Jersey barrier, but didn't appear to hit it (as we passed).  Magically, not one car hit them.  People slowed down, moved over and generally did the right thing.  For one wonderful moment, everyone was apparently following by at least the correct distance and paying attention.… [more]

    It Gets Old...
I'm in love with a wonderful woman; a woman I don't really deserve, but one who is my one, true soul mate.I knew who she was to me before we even met.  I was married at the time, and I didn't think I had the stones to leave her and be with the one I was meant to be with.  So, I did things that I regret, that hurt her greatly. Now that I'm with her, I no longer have those desires.  However, whenever I'm on here, I seem to see a story about me that makes me think she still feels that I'm going to cheat on her.  How can I convince her that I'm never doing that again?  I tell her time and again that I'm done with that part of me.I suppose, only time will heal the wounds I caused.… [more]

It Never Rains, But It Pours
Well, let me see...  What else can go wrong?I'm out of work (not for much longer, I hope).  We've just figured out how we can pay next month's rent.  My girl is going to nursing school.  So far, not too bad.She has what appears to be big (or many) bug bite(s) on her left shoulder.  She scratched it open, so she went to the doctor to have it looked at.  It's shingles (she's quite a bit too young to get that, thank you).  The doctor said she should be able to continue with her labs and clinical (she's the only one in her class who's ready).  So, he goes back to school, and find out she has to go home.  And, she can't go out in public for ten days (from the onset, fortunately), because it's so … [more]

Boarded the bus to Springfield, MO. Less leg room that a plane, but that's because the seats are closer to the floor and you can't get your shins past the footrests. Bought lunch at the cafe in Union Station in Worcester. A bit spendy, as one might imagine, but not too bad. … [more]

More testing, today. Backing into the dock went poorly, but I finally got it figured out. Did it twice in a row this afternoon, just to be sure. All the rest of the backing maneuvers I have down. And I've gone over the pre-test enough that I'm confident in that. And the road test I never was worried about. So, I have a pre-test meeting at 0630 tomorrow. I don't know what time I test, but I hope it's after it stops raining. … [more]

Well, I arrived last night after about 34 hours on a bus with about 3 hours of sleep in there. Realized along the way that I left the cable to my laptop at home so I'm running on battery for the next 2-plus hours. The cable should be here Thursday, so I'll be back to normal. Slept like a rock last night. Lots of waiting around today after filling out reams of paperwork. Drug test, and physical. Spent some time in the CBT lab. I have about a dozen courses to take with a quiz for each. Oddly, the quizzes often contain questions on topics that weren't covered in the course. makes it interesting to get the 100% required to pass. They also have four 'stimulators' (as we used to call the in high s… [more]

Took my permit tests this morning after an hour of the air brake system, which was supposed to be the most difficult. Passed two, including air brakes, but missed one too many on the third the first time. Went off to study a bit and aced it. So, I now have learner's permit. That allowed me to drive on the simulators to get a feel for double-clutching. It's not too bad, but they turned off the 'gear grinder' so you can't always tell if you're doing it right. I caught myself not double-clutching, on occasion, but not too many times. Tomorrow there's a class on the various insurance products they offer and security. Then one more quiz on the computer on the insurance stuff. … [more]
