    11/26 43 degrees not as cold as yesterday early morning. put the dogs out all day yesterday. it was relatively warm and they did not seem cold; fed them a cooked ham. what a treat! My cold is combined with my oral thrush so I am gargling frequently with salt water for my throat cold and gargling almost every other hour with Nystatin for my oral thrush. In short I am miserable and hope the duration is not long. Continuing other remedies for cold but added yogurt for oral thrush. Oral thrush is caused by antibiotics.     10/25 Thurs Temperature is 63 degrees. It stays dark so late in the morning.  I drove home yesterday in the dark. I am not thrilled about driving on country roads in the dark. Someone was close to the highway as I was speeding by. I can see why people get hit. One small error at 60 miles per hour and there would not be much left of the person outside of a car. You would think people that close to a highway at night would wear something white or reflective (not dark clothes).Dogs got their rabies shots which I just think is a money maker for vets and health departments. I do not think it decreases the chance of rabies significantly. The health department made $1,000 in 2 hours by having the r… [more]

    10/8 Monday  - Wet  Wet  WetIts in the 40's and 50's. I am wearing 3 T shirts. Turned the electric on last night when I woke up due to the cold.The dogs are warming their paws on my body. They will go outside because their coats keep them warm.The pool which always has problems staying/ getting warm on cold days has given up (broken). I will miss my swim.… [more]

    4/14 63 degrees 90 percent dogs outside overly tired Mazda 2 does have a smoother ride than my car but very basic the exclamation point on dashboard meant low tire pressure so had to buy a tire gauge ran 100 plus miles over my limit put in kitchen faucet and it took 4 hours because different things kept leaking connection hoses were longer than normal from valve to faucet 20 to 22 inches for old style 22 to 24 inches for new style faucet lucky for me I got the existing plumbing to finally work.… [more]
