Day 2 of Blogher. I'm sitting at the keynote breakfast with Esther Dyson, Rashmi Sinha, and Annalee Newitz. What a great panel! I've talked to Rashmi multiple times over the weekend and she's really great - super smart and personable. Her company, Slideshare, is really interesting and worth checking out. To go a bit on a tangent, if you're interested in a well-designed blog, check out Annalee's blog. Elisa is moderating the panel and just asked about the most unique / different things that bloggers have had people share they are interested in. Government asks for US help to arrest brazilian executives that masterminded the scheme from abroad. The government divulged today (Tuesday 16th) a partial report of Operation Persona, which busted a foreign commerce fraud scheme, arranged in São Paulo, with ramific… [more]

  • Blogher 2007 - Welcome!

    Posted on: July 27th, 2007 at 11:02AM

We are at the 2007 Blogher conference in Chicago this weekend. For those of you that don't know, Blogher is the largest women's blogging network and, as I learned this morning from the conference organizers, the Blogher conference is the largest blogger conference in the world. Period. This year's conference theme is "A World of Difference." As part of the conference this year, attendees voted on a global initiative that is important to them and that they want addressed in the next presidential election. The initiative selected this year was... Global Health. 57% of voters voted for this. Other initiatives that were important were the environment, Iraq, and global hunger. My mood: very impr… [more]
