Medicare And Medicaid - Can We Make them Affrordable?
The President and many prominent economists have said the deficit numbers will not go down until we get into the entitlements and make meaningful changes. I think you can interpret "meaningful changes" to mean reductions in pay or services the recipients are getting. Among all of the entitlement programs, the most expensive and fastest growing programs are Medicare and medicaid. Let me begin by stating I feel President Obama has done as good a job as we and events would allow him to do. On the election trail he promised health care reform. Upon election, he immediately immersed the country in a debate about the values of such a program. His administration su… [more]
