  • I Won't "Turn the Other Cheek"

What Did Jesus Mean? Most of us know of the "turn the other cheek" quotation from "The" Bible. Most think it advocates passivity as an example of a higher path. I heard that, too, but when a friend … [more]
  • I Transliterated "Guru Geeta Likeeta" From Sanskrit

Guru Geeta Likeeta Likeeta means handwritten, which is the present form of my manuscript. Geeta means Song of. Guru is explained in this ancient 352 verse text which was part of a larger work, the Skanda Purana.… [more]
  • I Was Only Born With 2 Wisdom Teeth

My Evolved Body   I also have only the top two wisdom teeth. One "erupted" a bit crooked but OK and the other may never come as I turn 60 next month [June 2009]. Are we so rare that only 3 to date have shared?… [more]

    Drinking
No, not alcohol. Sometimes I break down and buy a quart of heavy cream...then DRINK it! Not all at once, but in a day or two. I've always loved it. Once in awhile when I was a little boy I'd get to the milk the milkman delivered first and slurp off the top leaving skim milk for my family. Obviously it wasn't homogenized milk. You can get yogurt with cream top, too. Guess which part I eat first.… [more]
  • A hotel has an infinite number of unoccupied rooms..

    Posted on: July 28th, 2009 at 1:06AM

A girl's basketball team with an infinite amount of players arrives in an infinite number of buses for lodging, one per room, and fill up a hotel having an infinite amount of rooms. A boy's basketball then pulls up to the same, now full, hotel but needs lodging. How, without doubling up anybody with anybody else can the boys get rooms for each boy alone in a room without making the girls leave? … [more]

  • Kundalini, Gurus, and Life.

    Posted on: December 13th, 2009 at 3:37AM

Some interest having been shown by a few, I initiate a forum for the interested to read/ask what they want and see what I and others have to share. Let's start with the controversial: Jesus was a guru, whose guru was John the Baptist. He initiated the worthy with The Holy Spirit and enabled the 12 to do likewise [meaning He had no monopoly]. There are/have always/WILL always be "special" people - men and women - with the ability to awaken the dormant spiritual energy within us. It is also named Kundalini. Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, and Sufis all embrace the Guru concept, which special person has the requisite rare ability to perform the awakening. OK, business is open...bring it!!… [more]

  • There's more at the Door

    Posted on: December 9th, 2009 at 5:47PM

OK, we solved the problem of infinite girls then infinite boys, so now let's make it interesting. Let's say an infinite number of transvestites arrive at the motel with the girls in all the even numbered rooms and the boys in all the odds. The girls aren't going to budge since they already moved once, so to accommodate the transvestites the boys will have to move to new rooms {the transvestites are of indeterminate sex since you could have a girl dressing as a boy who is dressing as a girl}. How do you leave the girls in their rooms and allow for the transvestites by moving the boys?… [more]

  • Reaping and sowing

    Posted on: November 23rd, 2009 at 3:52PM

We've all heard the solemn Biblical proclamation "You reap what you sow", which I suppose teaches an underlying fairness in the Universe, akin to the doctrine of Karma. What are the other "versions" of this statement doing in "the" Bible, such as sowing what you didn't reap, reaping other than what you sowed, and how compatible are they with the better known declaration? References for the Biblically challenged will be provided if necessary.... Om Namah Shivaya.... : ] … [more]
