My heart is an vital organ, not something I make decisions with
I don't really get the illusion of the heart making the 'sensitive' decisions and the brain making the 'serious' ones. I make both decisions with my brain, as far as I know. And 'breaking' someones heart and you're 'in' my heart and other phrases sound really 'meaty/organic'. Of course I get the point that a heart is a vital organ and if people say that it means that they care a lot about the person. Guess it's a way of people expressing their feelings and they have to link a vital organ/ body part to that. I think you could find other words than using your vital organs to express something.
