Male , 31-35

Just an ordinary guy. Have a wide range of friends but no permanent relationship yet. Some people think I appear confident and have everything going for me, but I'm sometimes more nervous than I appear.

  • A great evening out.

    Posted on: October 16th, 2009 at 6:36PM

I was both excited and a little nervous today as I had actually arranged to meet someone I've spoken to on EP. I have permission to say who it is, just as long as I don't give his real name and emphasise that this was a bloke's meeting in a pub and not a date (straight as they come is Rugbylover!). We'd discovered that we actually work not far from each other in central London, and arranged to meet up in a pub after work. Although we'd spoken on the phone after a couple of PMs, I was a bit nervous about actually meeting face to face when I realised just how much he knew about me. The great thing about EP as that we can reveal some things we might not reveal to our friends, family or work co… [more]

  • Changed my face pick

    Posted on: October 19th, 2009 at 5:26PM

A certain person on here suggested I alter my face pick to something a bit more 'sideways on', just in case there's someone out there who might try to punch me on the nose, point and jeer at me in the street, or (chance would be a fine thing) sexually assault me. I looked through my pics on my computer but came up with nothing that fitted the bill. Then I remembered a staff magazine from a couple of years ago that was still lying around which has a picture of me in it that might do. It's suitably unclear, and those marks were on the picture not on my face (honest!). It's a portion of one that was taken when we were on this bloody awful 'morale building' day out. Some wit had decided we were… [more]

  • The dreaded Dolly descends

    Posted on: October 11th, 2009 at 5:36PM

I was just about to set off for the club to meet my mate Tony when I finished before. I don't usually stay out too late but as I was meeting Tony after eleven (he's a nurse and didn't get off until 9.30 and it takes him over an hour to get ready and squirt on his poncy cologne) we opted for a late place this time. For the first time ever, due largely to my discovery of experience project, I was the one who was late and so (also for the first time ever) he had got the first round in. Although it was gone 11.30 the place still hadn't really got going yet, and we actually had quite a good chat for an hour. He was both amused and sympathetic about my little mishap during the week (I'm not going … [more]

  • A grand weekend

    Posted on: November 7th, 2009 at 9:04PM

Last weekend my good friend Rugbylover invited me to stay the weekend in London with him and Mrs Rugbylover and tiny Rugbylover, who's five. This sounds a bit like Goldilocks and the three bears, but I was made more welcome than that. It was actually supposed to be just a night at the theatre watching The 39 Steps, after which I supposed I would take the train back to Southend, but the day before Mrs Rugbylover rang me and suggested I stay with them for the weekend as it was her birthday on the Saturday and she was having a dinner party. That meant I had to bunk off work for an hour on the Friday to buy her a present, and I wisely ignored the advice Rugbylover gave me as to what I should get… [more]
