"A wretched soul, bruised with adversity,
We bid be quiet when we hear it cry;
But were we burdened with like weight of pain,
As much or more we should ourselves complain."

I Look Young For My Age

At Least People My Age Think So Every time I am out at a restaurant I get the drink menu (even though I'm 18), because outside of my circle of friends and age group, people see me as older than my age. But when I am compared to... [more]

    Anorexia ate away at my life
    For being "petite" (5'2"), 89 lbs was no doubt a dangerous weight for me. Naturally, I have been 115 lbs at most. But within the last year, I ranged from 89 lbs to 97 lbs, afraid to reach 100 again. This was mostly because of dance. An instructor pinched the skin on my back one day and told me to get rid of it, he then gave me a ridiculous diet to follow. I am ready to gain the weight back. I am only 17, why should I ruin the rest of my life by making myself into skin and bones? As of right now, I am 99lbs, and I plan on getting back to being healthy! … [more]

    In days and nights, not so long since passed, He hath bore the the lock to that of my mind, The key however, hath been knowingly, and forever cast, Cast to his love, leaving me to fall, plummeting, fearful and blind. As this cognizance roamed freely into my longing grasp, I threw my star struck heart at the realization, I did no less than bear my all, for such a person could never accept such. He was it, my catalyst, my desire, my motivation. Careless and unbound, my previously ruthless heart was unchained! I broke free of these chains, so fiercely created, not by the hands of another, but placed carefully at my own defense. Unspoken pain and sorrow as a cause, yes, by my own hand, were t… [more]

    Do thoughts and beliefs create one's reality? I seem to believe they do, but when I thought deeper into it, Are there facts and opinions... or just opinions in life? When I thought about that one, It came to me that there are facts...such as how hot it is, but if you think about it, the temperature is measured in a numerical form, and that must have been an opinion to measure it like that, therefor a fact has sprung from an opinion! But if it is a fact like...say how old a tree is, well it is the same situation...it was someone's opinion that you could tell the age of a tree by how many rings it has. So are there ever any true facts? Well this goes back to my first curiosity, that thoughts a… [more]

    The way you smile, you reflect my own beauty so much. I would not give you up for the world, I apologize I have not yet realized how dear you are to my heart. Dearest sister, The way you come to my room every night and ask for my hand to hold, it is a precious gift, so valuable, yet so fragile. I wrap you tight in my arms night after long, tedious night, in hopes that I can take away all of the nightmares from your innocent mind, and block out the big, dangerous world from reaching you. I know this cannot last forever, but I will do my best to protect you for as long as you wish it. You are a beautiful soul, so free and so kind of heart. Thank you, you bring happiness to my every day. Com… [more]

    Science is all around us. It is simple and confusing all at once! It is fantastic when the science behind something simple is realized because it turns it into something so wonderful. For example: the same concept discovered for the developement of rock salt can also lead to converting ionic compounds into gaseous ions, yet it is seemingly impossible to come across this experimentally because there is no way to measure the energy released in order to form a solid. it is natural and REAL; so inspiring. It is amazing how far you can break something down.… [more]
