I Have Tried Sake

Japanese If You Please Posted 02/07/2011
I had a friend about 18 years ago, a work colleague at the time who is now living in Sydney or so I believe, that loved Japanese cuisine.  In fact, she loved everything Japanese.  We would take... [more]
  • I Am An Anglophile

Something About The Queen's English.. Posted 8/3/2010
I just love how they speak, with perhaps the exception of the Cockney Eastenders....although, I didn't mind Julie Walter's character in "Educating Rita". The Irish and Scottish, however, are my favour… [more]
  • I Want to Feel Attractive

Getting Old Is Hard Posted 5/28/2011
I've never considered myself an overall beauty but I had a nice face.  There are remnants of it, yes but it's definitely fading fast. And, life has a way of showing on your face.… [more]

    Fear Factor Posted 4/23/2010
I spend nearly every minute of the day when I'm not focusing on my work in a prison of self-imposed trepidation.  What I mean is: I just can't stop being afraid.  I'm particularly anxio… [more]

I like to read and watch DVDs. Just can't match what I get out of a book or movie in real life. It's kind of crazy but I just can't seem to change my ways. I've started to do a little running with the dog, something I got into in a big way 10 years ago but abandoned when life got busier. Yes, I know that life is what you make it and I kind of feel like a loser for not making my life more interesting. After all, the experiences of characters in a book are not always just imagined. Sometimes you get some good stuff out of TV, like Heston's Feasts. It's a ripper British cooking show. Not that I'm a cook but he's absolutely fascinating, the way he researches obscure foods and coo… [more]
