It has been a bad year all the way around for my family, my mother likes to be the barrier of bad news...something terrible happens I call her and she automitcally wants to call her pastor or her pastors wife...she immediatly wants to tell her church (her thinking prayers are the answers)...The first two people I call when something goes bad in my life are my sister and my mother...(the first always being my sis).  I cannot help but call my sis because I always call her when things go wrong, but when I call my mom and tell her whats going on, she makes a spetical of it.  Why do I feel bad for telling my mom anything? … [more]

I made that promise to more than one person...I said I would quit when I turn 38, marking 20 years that I began smoking (on a regular basis).  I tried my first cigarette when I was around the age of 14, at that age I was just experimenting.  When I turned 18 I knew I could buy cigarettes legally, and I became a regular smoker.  I have been smoking for more than 20 years now.  I will be 38 this year and have only been smoking for 20 years, but my fathers girlfriend has been smoking for almost 40 years and she has stage 4 lung cancer (they have been together for 22 years).My father is watching her die (because she is home with him and hospice care)...He tells me he does not want to see me like… [more]
