I was born and raised in southern California, and I'm in a five year relationship. I recently got my Master's in Business Administration and am taking some time off for health reasons, and hopefully some traveling.
I've done things most people never get to do, and I've gone through things most people never have to go through.
I'm very curious and open to change. New experiences and my loved ones gives my life meaning.

A Lazy Stomach, Hm? I was diagnosed with gastroparesis about a month ago. I went through about a year of symptoms until a gastric emptying study explained them. I believe it says I take 900 minutes to digest food.… [more]
Weathered The Storm, And Am So Happy To Be Alive. When I was 15, I encountered some troubling physical and psychological symptoms. I'd always been thin, but I suddenly put on 30 pounds in one month, while eating well and exercising regularly. I start… [more]
Over It. In high school, I was vehemently opposed to shoplifting. In fact, when my friend gave me a shoplifted gift at school, I sneaked it into the store on another day and returned it. As I grew older, I sta… [more]
Northridge '94 I was about 10 minutes away from the epicenter of the '94 Northridge, CA quake. The earthquake had a "strong" moment magnitude of 6.7, but the ground acceleration was one of the highest recorded in a… [more]
End of the World - December 2012I'm graduating in June 2012 with my MBA. I have been in school since 1990.So if the world really does end on December of 2012, I have to admit that my very first thoughts, while magma is spewing out of the cracks in the sidewalk, will be, "All this crap for nothing? I knew I should've just sat back home playing video games."However, I happen to believe that the Mayans just said to themselves, "This is like...1000 years into the future. I'm sure someone else will do the rest."… [more]
2 out of 3? Close enough.I got a little too into meth and heroin in my late teens and early 20's. I haven't done either in two years. It took me a couple years to fully quit, and it wasn't easy.I've been using the internet waaaay too damned much from the age of 16. And I still do.I could kick meth. I could kick heroin. But the internet? Not so much.… [more]
I used to be so smart...It bugs me. I used to be brilliant. I took some sort of aptitude test when I was 3, and, by technical standards, I was a literal genius. When I was 13, I got a 1350 out of 1600 on the SAT and was accepted to college. I didn't go because of several personal reasons.I was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 16, though I'd had it since 15. I took another IQ test at the age of 16, as a baseline to show the extent of future brain damage. I got a 145, which is just barely a "regional genius." My verbal score was 180, and my spatial was 120. Despite the fact that my intelligence had already started declining, I still had a 4.7 GPA at school and got a 1560 out of 1600 on the SATs seni… [more]
