I Am Morbidly Obese

Overweight & Holidays Well, it's that time of year, when you attend a Christmas party, and wonder how many people are looking at you, thinking she does not need to eat anything at this party. I am usually pretty confident... [more]
  • I Am Morbidly Obese

Acceptance Of Yourself I think the number one comment I hear from people that, like me, are overweight, is, "I have to loose weight". Well, do you really?  I am in my early 50's, and I have been over weight my entire a… [more]

Make It Through The Holidays Well, it's almost Christmas, which means it's almost over, yeah! I don't enjoy the holidays much any more, but just for the record, it has nothing to do with being overweight. I have no family near … [more]
  • All about me

Wow, where did life go? I can't believe I'm 53 years old. I love rock music, dogs, and anywhere near the ocean. Unfortunately I live in KS now, but someday....maybe I'll make it back to the Southeast. I am an open minded person, I never judge anyone, and don't enjoy being around people that do. I've heard everything working in the Mental Health field, so the "shock factor" thing does not exist with me. I was the youngest child in my family, and have 3 older brothers, which might explain why I get along better with men than women. I can't sew or do very many things that require domestic skills, but I have a great sense of humor, and do my best to enjoy life. I love dogs, but don't car… [more]

I just realized Today, when a co-worker ask when my birthday was, that this year it will be 10/10/10. I'm not in to the numerology thing, but perhaps that means something....other than the fact I['ll be a year older. Of course, one day last week I noticed it was national "left handed Libra" day, which I am both left handed and a Libra. Well, I made it through the day, but nothing exciting happened on that day, so I'm guessing my birthday will be the same, oh well another birthday beats the alternative. My quote for the day is: Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it". My mood: a bit blissful… [more]

  • Men VS Women on Sex

    Posted on: September 14th, 2010 at 6:58PM

Since I work in the field of Psychology, people interest me in general. I have always been amazed how male minds work differently from female minds when sexuality is involved. If a man as multiple sex partners, he is generally viewed as a "macho man", or a "ladies man". But....if a woman has multiple partners, she is viewed as a "*****". Why is that??????… [more]

On Monday, I have to go on a business trip from KC to Chicago. Our travel coordinator says I should go Sunday night, attend the Monday meeting in Chicago at 10, and then return on a 5 pm flight. She wants me to fly in to O'hare. Instead, I have to push life to the limit and do things my way. I chose to go on a 5 am flight to Midway. Attend the 10 a.m. meeting, and then return on a 3 p.m. flight. People are taking bets on whether or not it works out time wise for me. I am listening to the Glen Beck show on radio. I agree with him on about 80% of the idea's he has. I assume most topics today will be centered around 9/11, and the new mosque that is being considered in NY. Oh, and don… [more]
