I ******* hate art school. I started my first semester at the Pratt Institute. I'm still very deep in grief after the loss of my baby girl.

While in my Light and Color Design class, I was drawing two stupid metal chairs. I thought to myself, THIS IS THE MOST POINTLESS THING EVER! This is ******* stupid, I SHOULD be taking care of my beautiful baby girl right now, not draw ******* chairs.

There is no purpose in what I am doing. My talent is going to waste. I don't give a damn about college anymore.

I HATE my ******* life. What the **** is the point of my life? It's going no where.

Perhaps it would be best to take a sabbatical.

My heart goes out to you.

Is there a hospice near you?

They break down the groups accordingly. So you would only meet other bereaved parents. Only someone who has gone thru it can fully understand.

It was very helpful. I bonded with several people. We are still good friends to today.

Above all else, open up & reach out. I have found out that most people will keep their distance till you reach out & let them know that you just need a hug, or a shoulder to cry on, or someone to speak to.

    Wishing you peace.

Taking a break might be a good idea. I've been going through a lot too. I decided to take a break after my first semester of law school because I am dealing with a lot of personal pain. My heart goes out to you. I wish you the best. Lots of love!

Definitely take a break, defer studies for however is needed or reduce the workload? If you do take time off try & do things you enjoy or find meaningful, perhaps learn a new skill so you can keep busy also. My heart goes out to you & your daughter also, take care & stay positive

I'm really sorry for your loss.I lost my father this year.Just be happy you can afford to go to art school. That's a dream of mine that now will never happen.Due to extreme medical bills it wiped out my parents financially, after years of being promised that I would be taken care of.Art is one thing that does make a great escape-make of it what you want.
