I am tired of the hypocrisy of our society when it comes to the alleged sexual abuse of underage kids.  I believe that most kids over the age of about 12 are well aware of their sexuality and in control of it, and not really victims when it comes out that they have had sex with an older person, forcible rape notwithstanding.   Our society accepts the early sexualization of kids, and the kids respond by being very savvy and interested in sex.   But if there is sex involved with a teenager, all of a sudden these same kids are poor, innocent children being taken advantage of.  Bullshit.   They knew what they were getting into, and I bet in many cases, would move on if the adults didn't make such a big deal about it.   And in looking through EP and other sources on the Internet, the knee jerk response is to call the older person a pervert, like it is some horrible abberation to lust after sexually developed females who happen to be under the age of ___ (you fill in the blank).

maybe some youngsters are too immature for sex with adults when they are younger then 18 but also maybe there are persons over the age of 18 that are too immature to have sex. why is there a magical day when you are a day before the age of 18 that you are too immature and the day you are 18 then you are instantly mature enough. there is a group of youngsters that have already fantasized about sexuality and have had role models to decide what they like. they have probably *********** in the bathtub of shower or the bed and have *********** the dog and have probably talked to each other about sexuality among themselves. there are probably some youngsters that should be called emancipated minors when it comes to sex. and them there are people that are over the age of 18 that shouldn't have sex. how does a person decide. maybe the line should be blurred a little. i don't know how it could be done. socially or culturally the age of adulthood is 18 but biologically it might be the age of menstrus. every baby born is playing with itself when it is tiny. besides what is the significance of the quinceniera in the latin culture.
