Pick one or the other and leave the other behind

It's not always easy

It's not always kind

Did you ever have to make up your mind?

So my former lover, partner wants to try to work things out and see how we fit into each other's lives. I am all for this. I feel like I have made some changes in my life and that I am ready to meet her somewhere in there. The strange part is I have just started seeing this other woman who I really enjoy. My former lover and I were working on having an open relationship when we parted due to issues that arised between us. We are still in the mind of having an open relationship if we can have a relationship. We are going to try to meet each other in a new frame of mind and have a different relationship. i would love to find a way to bring the woman I have just started seeing into this equation. We have shared interests and views and I enjoy her immensely. i just don't think an open relationship is her thing. i almost already know what i am going to do...I just wish I didn't have to. Monogamy and all of our ideas about love seem really outdated right about now. It is possible to love more than one person.
