Some people are lucky enough to find love . And some people don't. Some people do everything for love and succeeds. And some people don't no matter how hard they try. I'm one of the latter. But that's alright. I've accepted that fact. All my life I've been looking for someone to love and to love me back. It had been my life's priority, my life's perspective if you may. Nothing is more important to me than to have a romantic love.

“Happiness means so many things to so many people but unmitigated pursuit of happiness that eventually generates regret later is to be shunned.” my dad wrote to me once. I wanted to prove him wrong. I wanted to have no regrets in my life, and that the only regret there is is not pursuing happiness. We were both wrong. We never realized that 'regret' are an important part of life, and that 'regret' is one of the things that defines what we really want in our lives. Regret is one of the things that will lead to happiness.

I've lived a life of illusion grandeur that love is the answer to my happiness. I wanted so bad to have someone to love and to love me back, that I've forgotten about loving myself. I've been pursuing for an outside source of love and I'm so afraid of the idea that nobody would love me. And it is true. Nobody will love me if I will not love myself.

So I stand corrected. Love is an illusion only if you can't start loving yourself. (IMHO)
