Sissy

I can't believe my Sissy is gone. It's been two years and it feels like yesterday that we were best friends and doing just about everything together.


The last 8 or 9 years we'd grown very close for many reasons. But the reality of it was we could tell each other anything and the other would 


understand and not judge the other. We shared tears and beers and whoopee. We did Daytona twice a year, and went on vacations together,


and went to Christmas parties and halloween parties and birthday parties. I can't even go to the movies anymore. I haven't been to a NASCAR 


race since her death. My life is on hold and even my girlfriend sees it. There's no joy in my heart and I'm miserable. I do have moments that I'm 


fine and life seems so good. But then I feel guilty for having fun without my Sissy. Maybe time will heal my heart, but for now I'm in a very dark


place and want to get on with my life....
