But I silently tear up a little when I watch Disney movies as an adult. This is because as little girls we grew up thinking of happily ever afters and when our childhoods are gone and we are ready for love we realize that those fairy tales are fallacies that just  don't seem to exist. sad isn't it?

I don't remember any Disney movie showing its characters living happily ever after. They just sort of imply happily ever after in the ending. I prefer an ending like that, otherwise we'd get an unending series of sequels. Happily ever after is something we need to figure out as adults, our movie. If it gets handed to us on a silver platter, it would be one boring movie.
