HootieBootieInLuv - 26-30 years old - female

Not sure if you know the significance of Nov. 8, 2011 but it's non-trivial. And I mean one minute past the stroke of midnight Nov. 8, 2011.

Why, of course, it's the official release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at all vid game retailers and any other retailer that sells anything electronic.

Why do I care? Well the boyfriend will be lined up at Gamestop along with the other hooligans to purchase a freshly minted copy. His plan is to race back to work, pray it's a very light night at the hospital (I pity the sucker with respiratory failure who's rushed in) and start "capping" the enemy with his M-24 sniper rifle. This also means in all likelihood for the next several weeks the best I'll get from him is a vague and distant stare and conversation like, "Did you know in Special Ops mode my mission is to save the Eiffel Tower?"

I'll give my best to distract him but I already know any talk of "rescuing your favorite damsel in distress", "take the pretty girl prisoner" or overtly opening a cold beer for him in shorty shorts and a belly shirt will be to no avail. From what Mr. Google says I'll hardly be alone; there are 11 million Call of Duty playahs on XBox; another five million on PS3.

Oh well, pouting is useless. What nerve? I'll just have to spend the time in a constructive manner:  the Coconut Point mall is open 'till nine!

haha your boyfriend is a mindless zombie paying for MW2 all over again since COD games are all the same. I however am get Skyrim on the 11th, and I am glad I dont have a gf to worry about.

I'm on the same boat as joey. No matter how immersive a game can be it is no substitute for the touch and company of a woman. So yes, get us some beers and I will show you how to kill a dragon.

Why don't you ladies join them? You could get a piece of the COD action as well as those from your mates ;).

After all, there's no turn-on better than a girl who likes the same things I do. :)

I can understand where this all comes from, and admit that most men will be boys. But this blows my mind.

I mean this with my whole body and soul. Once You, sweet, delicious Kathryn said: " 'rescuing your favorite damsel in distress", "take the pretty girl prisoner" or overtly opening a cold beer for him in shorty shorts and a belly shirt will be to no avail,' " I was ready die before I'd pass you up. What ever happened to the time worn expression, "Guys only think about one thing?"

Personally I'd be sure you have triplets even if I have to be the poor sucker who shows up at the hospital with respiratory failure!! You are worth it baby. In shorty shorts with your blouse tied in a bow?

    omfg! LOL

I don't get it with this waiting in line to buy a game. I must agree with another poster that a real live woman trumps any computer game.

Being a participant in making actual things blow up changes one's perception of these games.

waiting for the price drop on that one. i do love me a romp in a good shooter, but i am more of a role playing man myself. fallout (waited til midnight at gamestop for that one), mass effect, skyrim, etc.. before skyrim came out i was in bed with my lady every night by 11. now it is 2am and i am a real mess in the mornings, let me tell you. but i keep doing it.

Hmmmm, as long as you don't sharply poke or harshly twist "the buttons" in bed and scream, "take that motherfukker!"

Ha. What a great thread. Kathrryn, if you can turn a sheet like you turn a phrase, you'd be quite the companion.

I never really got into gaming that much. It's fun, but damn, it's so time-consuming. (as you pointed out, lol)

yeah i agree.. that is the huge downside. it is entertainment and really nothing more. i can spend hundreds of hours having a great time and getting to be a bad *** in a game, but it has no real world translation. then i get depressed and think if i spent all that time working out or something, i would be buff as ****. oh well, at least my as can take a good long hard sitting without getting soar.
