I have a number of conditions and health issues. And I hate to say it but I think its going to get worse. I think things are worse then everyone is letting believe it is. I don't  want to wish bad things on myself but I cant help but think " What else could possibly go wrong?" I know things could be worse and there are people who are worse off then me but I've been fighting with this since I was born and it seems to be a never ending process. I just really wonder, what else could possibly go wrong now?

When you invest yourself in something, that something tends to get stronger. As Delialsiaho suggested, focusing on the negativity and anxiety in your life, without more, will just make it more of a force. It is also true that your election to seek moments of beauty and clarity among the mess surrounding you will reward you because you will become attuned to see the beauty and clarity that is ALSO there. If you think of it in religious terms, your act is accepting of God's will and love. If you think of it in secular, spiritual terms, you are opening yourself to the beauty around you and allowing it inside, where it will help your self begin to heal. If you think of it in psychological terms, you are allowing yourself moments of self respect and awareness notwithstanding the negativity around you. If you think of it in meditative terms, you are practicing a path of mindfulness, on which you will find the negativity around you less relevant to your life as time passes.

Each of these approaches uses its own language, symbols and modes of communication to achieve the same or a similar goal; each is a path to acceptance, awareness, love. On each of these paths it can become clear that joy isn't just a concept and it isn't just for other people. It can become your essence, if you are able and can summon the courage to suspend your disbelief long enough to accept its gifts.
