Pretending To Like Gift

So you open a gift and you don't like it, but you don't want to make the other person feel bad, so you put on a happy face and say it's great, I love it, all the ways you can use it, yada yada, yada anyone else do this? (years ago i did the opposite and it created bad feelings, so now i just pretend to like it no matter what).
