Sitting on Pulaski skyway

fear deep in my soul

holding on to my brother

smoke rising beyond the toll

my unborn son inside my womb

may never make it here

I feel my brother's heartbeat

watch his eyes start to tear

we're thankful for this moment

we're by each others side

and pray to God to bless the souls

of those that have just died

we watched the buildings crumble

not moving till sunset

a moment I am grateful for

and never will forget

We thought the world was ending

we would die together there

it forged our bond so tight

it never needs repair

my son took his 1st breath

the 12th of January

I recalled at his first glimpse

my brother's sactuary

I named him for my brother

and perished souls above

his name is William Tristan
