Normally a mom is suppose to say, "You can tell me anything." Well. not with my mom. When I was in middle school, she didn't want be to have boyfriends. Her favorite motto was, "You can start to date when your 30 or I'm dead." These were her exact word.

And to be honest, I thought that would happen, until I met Cory and Cody. See, I had two boyfriends behind my parents back. Well mostly behind my mom's. I don't think my dad would have cared. Anyway, I dated both of them (not at the same time) more then once in complete secret.

The only time my mom knew I was dating was when I dated Cody for the second time, but I think the only reason she approved of that was because it was a long distance relationship at the time.

So yeah, I hide my relationships from my mom. And yes, it was completely worth it. At least I have some idea what having a boyfriend feels like.

Right know, I'm looking at a collage boy to be my next boyfriend. It's going to be hard for me to choose since Cory and Cody were my good friends before we started dating.

I know that they are trying to protect me, but my dad says that there are somethings I need to experience on my own. How can I do that if my mom says no. Who would you listen to if you were in position? Mom or Dad?

first,i think when your dad said so, he didn't mean that you should have a boyfriend...maybe he ment your relations with your friends.... well,if i were you,i'll try to convince her: for example: you'll say hey mom,i met a very kind boy,he really helps me (i don't know,in your studies or sthing),you can show her his profile on facebook, tell her everything about him:what he tells you,his hobbies..etc...don't forget always tell her how nice he is and how much helpful he is to you... then tell her that he became your best friend, introduce him to her.. with all that, and make sure she loves him..after that it will be very much easier to convince her.. of course, try not to lie to her about him, because she will help you to figure out if he's or not good for you.. i hope that will be helpful to you
