World of ants

If you stare at ants long enough, you'll hold a better, or at least broader, view of humanity. What it should be. I've always stared at ants. Watched them scurry in their paths, watched them bump and exchange, watched them problem solve. They really are remarkable if you take the time to notice them. As a metaphor, I view ants as the minds of humans. Most are on the same path. They follow the person before them, lead the person behind them, stay in line as best they can, go to and fro.
But if you watch, there are others in their ranks. I don't just mean the ants that are faster, or carrying more, no. The ants that leave the lane. Probably scouts. They step out of the stream of ants and go a foot, maybe two, away from the others. Sometimes they find something, other times they give and return to the line. Resuming their role.
Humans do the same thing. We go to school, or work, live our normal lives. But every now and then you see a human go out on a limb. To start a company, or a hobby, or write a book, or make a new martial art, or just see how far he can take something. An idea or ideal. Sometimes their efforts are fruitless and they go back into the stream of people. Back to the expected life. Back to their work or family or tv.
But, every once in a while, not all that often, they find something. The ant finds a treasure. Something others would have never seen had he not stepped out of line and searched. And It changes everything. New streams of ants are made. More come to search. New ants step out of line. Its really quite inspiring. The world of the ants is broadened, ever so slightly, by just one rebellious, or lost, or confused, little ant.

As Einstein said "It's all relative" I sometimes wonder who or what may be watching us as we are watching the ants...

This has to be your masterpiece! This one and the other one on the guy you were supposed to fight with and ended up bowing to.
