I love soda. It's the one vice I have I can't give up. I know it's bad for me, but I just can't stop drinking it. I love all flavors of pop, from Coke to Mt. Dew, Sunkist to Dr. Pepper. Why does pop taste so good? Why does it have to be so bad?! People often ask me if it's the caffeine that I crave in pop, but it's not, it's the sugar! Which is why Diet Pop won't do, I need the good stuff! I can't really say I have a favorite pop, because they are all so good, but I will admit that I prefer Coke over Pepsi, I drink Barq's over A&W, and I like both Sprite and Sierra Mist about the same.

I feel like every pop has it's own personality. Some pops are sassy like Wild Cherry Pepsi, some pops are bold like Coke and Barq's Root Beer. Other's are wild, like Mt. Dew. and Tahitian Treat (though I've always wondered what the original Tahitian Treat's formula tasted like). Some have the crisp refreshing taste like 7-up, and others have that smooth taste like Mello Yello. There are sooo many different pops, and maybe one day, I can try them all.

I do tend to taste a big difference between the pops that use corn syrup, and the pops that use cane sugar, and I have to say that the cane sugar taste ten times better. I do prefer glass bottles over cans and plastic, and root beer seems to taste ten times better in a frosted mug, and I don't know why. I tend to think Coke taste better with a Burger and Fries, where as I like Root Beer more when I eating Cheese Coneys. Yes, I do in fact pair my soda with my food much like someone would pair their wine with their food.

If I had to pick which pop I thought was the best aside from Taste, it would have to be Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper seems to get himself into just about any party. If a place serves coke products, they generally serve Dr. Pepper. And if a place serves Pepsi, they usually serve Dr. Pepper as well. It's a nice Cool Refreshing flavor that a lot of people seem to enjoy.

I'm thinking about Dr. P right now... I think I might go to the store right and grab me a cold one.

The record for longest time without pop was 3 months. I lost a total of 9 lbs. I am planning on doing this again just to lose the weight again. When my lips touch those bubbles after those long weeks, it will be so worth it.
