I'm a new mom of a 7 week old and am in the military.  Before my husband and I got pregnant I was all about volunteering to go to Afghanistan and than things changed with our son being born.  Now that I'm back to work I started to think about it again....I think I'm a terrible mom for wanting to do this.....AHHHH

It's okay. Your kid will understand that his/her mommy is doing something good for their country.

Thank you and your family for your service.

You are top doubt about it.

Your son will be very proud to have you as a mother when he is old enough to understand.

You're not a bad mom. You won't be in Afghanistan forever.

Thank you guys. Its like, I never planned on getting pregnant while we were in and my husband is in as well but he is non deployable so thank god I don't have to worry about that. I think what I'm really afraid of is all the stuff I'm going to miss.

Thank you for that, from both myself and my husband. That put a smile on my face
