For some reason unknown to me, i literally HATE the consumption of alcohol. I have met some nice people in my life....and i have also told those nice people to screw off once i found out they like to drink often and party. I have tried to stop thinking this way but when i see a drunk person that anger and disgust builds up inside of me and i cant control it. I have never had the urge to party or drink, and to me i cannot fathom why people like to make complete morons of themselves then justify it or act like its funny or cool. its not. You look dumb, childish, and irresponsible. I dont condemn ALL drinking. There is nothing wrong with an occasional glass of wine with dinner or champagne at a wedding. Its because that is RESPONSIBLE drinking. So.....i guess im just highly judgemental about this and i dont want to be....but i cant help how i feel. I just....can find creative and mature ways to entertain myself instead of poisioning my mind and body and acting like a fool. Sorry if i have offended anybody

not offended, I think I actually agree with you.

Just curious, I really don't think of myself as a drinker, and truth be told I don't ordinarily like beer, but when it gets really hot out (90+) I enjoy having a beer, if its really hot I'll have 2 but that's my (self assigned) limit. In the winter I never have beer at all.

    Good, bad or indifferent?

for the most part yes. I'm sure at sometime or another I probably had 3, but for the life of me, I would almost bet my life (or that of my daughter) that I've never had an entire 6 pack. Once or twice a week I have a little wine with dinner, and if I'm ill I'll have a shot of something. If I'm out socially and there is drinking, I'll have 1 or 2, and then switch to something like ginger ale (that way I can say "I'm having an ale). I really have no problems that I want to forget or escape. I'm guessing you face yours also.

Well said. I boycott alcohol. Alcohol causes child abuse, cancers, birth defects, domestic violence, road accidents, rapes, robberies, murders, suicides, all kinds of accidents and assaults, lifelong grief and loss, and many other problems and crimes. It kills thousands of people every day around the world. Obviously the massive harm done by alcohol outweighs the miniscule benefits. Everything that's any good that can be done with alcohol can be done just as well or better without alcohol. Rather than being of social benefit it is a social problem and plenty of people avoid social events where alcohol is to be consumed because they don't want to experience the boring and boorish behaviour of those who consume alcohol.
