When I was 21 I was married to someone, and I had an affair that resulted in my oldest child. She is now almost 20 years old. I just told her father that she existed,  last year. It destroyed my marriage. I've never been happier... <3

    he controlled me so much, i lost all contact with my friends, family, and he kept me from working, wouldn't let me be anything close to independent. i had no way to leave until I called the Womens Crisis Center in my area, they helped me get out.

    I am so very sorry to hear that, at least you got to escape. How is your daughter coping with this news? Im very near her age, and know a similar feeling to her?

    She is very happy to know the identity of her real father. Her real father is also thrilled, and they have stayed in touch and are getting to know each other at last.
