Lilt - 46-50 years old

About 10 months ago we adopted a sweet, little rescue dog. Her name was Tulip. She had more love in her tiny 9 pound body, than a million dogs combined. Tulip developed a tumor on her spine and declined very rapidly. We had to put her to sleep yesterday. Our home is flooded with tears. Not fair.

I'm so sorry to hear of this. I've had to put down more dogs than I care to mention as I still miss them all very much. It may be too soon to consider, but keep in mind that your next dog will be your best friend too. ..a different one. That's okay. Neither will take away from the other.

remember to let your emotions out as they build up. That's okay too.

Oh my. I'm sorry, Lilt. We just adopted a little doggy recently ourselves. They sure do find a way into your hearts in a hurry, don't they?

I'm very sorry, I know how hard it is to say goodbye to a pet that you love so much. You clearly gave each other a wonderful 10 months (especially as she was a sweet rescue dog)

If after a week or two you still have difficulty carrying on or if you have no other support system, I very much recommend Everyone there in the chat room has been through what you have...the are empathetic and sympathetic. I don't know what I would have done without them 9 years ago when my 13 year old golden retriever died without any warning, without any symptoms of her disease.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our pets become members of our families and to lose yours at such a young age is indeed so unfair. Hugs!

Oh, she was so sweet. But love her still, just as much now, if not more .

My walls are covered with large canvas pics of my old dog and I tell my new dog all about him .. every day LOL

I feel he is still with me, very much so, in spirit :)
