Hearing the noise, it terrifies
Uncurling myself, I open eyes
I stretch across, my silence shattered
Aching, hurting, feeling battered

Mission achieved, I head down south

Rumbling tummy, arid mouth

Kettle on, bread in toaster

Sugar in, cup down on coaster

Washing started, dryer droning

Eyes all sticky, muscles moaning

Purring loudly, wanting feeding

Cat meows, she starts her pleading

Breakfast eaten, floors are swept

Feeling like, I've never slept

Shower running, trickling down

The only thing, to ease my frown

Soap suds bubbling, mood is soothed

Everything washed, leg hair removed

What to wear, I battle on

Hair is sorted, off I swan

Way too early, I need to deliver

Chill in air, just makes me shiver

Not one to grumble, not one to shirk

Doesn't everyone hate going back to work?

Weird, how it changed the way that I wrote this. I entered it in poet form.

Hey you did good, better than most could manage, better than ever I could.

What a filler to your day though, school, kids, new term...You still managed this.

    I admire you.

Aw thank you for that. I get up early and have some 'me' time before work. That was written whilst eating toast and a cuppa this morning. I do love writing off the cuff poetry, nothing too serious and often write for them at school.
