My neighbour is gross.He is a drunkard,wife abuser;who bullies his kids and regularly terrifies them all.Often at night,we hear thewife screaming ,and him kicking the door of the room she has barricaded herself and the children into.He is also a diabetic and has started having some mystery seizures which render him unconcious.(possibly epilepsy).
Three weeks ago,she was out and he had one such fit...he eventually fell through my porch window...slicing his head open and lay fitting violently.When i reached him,he was choking on his own vomit...THIS IS MY CONFESSION...
i ,for a split second,wanted to walk away.To leave him there,in the cover of night ,to die(and he would have).
I saved that pigs life that night,and i already regret it.

Have you reported any of the domestic violence to the authorities? It is perfectly natural for you to want to see this scum bag suffer, but in the end you did the humane thing. You will forever hold the moral high ground for that, and you should be proud.
However, this is not to say that this guy shouldn't pay for the hurt and pain he inflicts on his family and whoever else.

finally,at xmas,she kicked him out...but the drunkard abuse continues ,usually in the street..the police arrested him again today...it has terrified my own little girl ,who now refuses to sleep in her own bed in case he comes to "get" her.

That sort of regret will be easier to live with in the end than the guilt you would feel if you let him die. Still though, rock and a hard place
