Though I love my children equally,my daughter is my pride and joy.  She really applied herself to her studies and graduated HS in the top 2% of her class and earne a partial scholarship to Bowdoin College in Maine, the sixth oldest  college in the United states with alumni that includ Nathanie Hawthorne and James Thoreau.  She graduated with honors there as well, Magna *** Laude and is now working off her student loans a teacher in Portland.  I am proud of my son too and think he is even more intelligent than his sister, but he doesn't really apply himself to his studies  He struggles to keep his grades up and this year had to take an onlline class to be allowed to continue at his college.  I wish I could instill in him the importance of applying oneself to whatever the task but he just won't listen.  I wish the best for him and will assist him in any way I can, but he frustrates me
