On May 17th, Confessions (with usernames) will move to the I Have A Confession group. Anonymous confessions will not be preserved. This transition is necessary for site-wide security and maintenance.

It's ironic how much **** anonymous confessors get for being "cowards," according to certain commenters. In my opinion, bullying is pretty cowardly, and I'd think, between these two supposed cowards, the one who picks on another is the more cowardly.

Not necessarily. Besides sometimes you might not even want to let your circle here to know it's you. Sometimes you just need to get things out of your head and be free of judgment.

So you want to post views but not let your circle know it's you?.....that does seem strange to me. Anon confessions should be kept seperate by EP, in my opinion.

Not to mention I thought the purpose of this place was to be able to express confessions?! If someone wants to be anonymous so be it. Some of my confessions are anonymous. Some aren't.

Do we call the people that send in secrets to post secret cowards too? No.

The very nature of confession is private. If you wanted to make a statement that everyone could see, you may as well write a story about it so that everyone on EP could see it. There are some things one needs to air without her name being tied to it. That's why it's secret. Trying to make confessors come out of their anonymity is very hostile, especially when it's done tauntingly. And usually, these people are baring their souls, spilling the contents of their heart, on this confessional. To be met with such contempt and disparagement is not at all reflective of the heart and spirit of EP. This confessional is such a toxic war zone in which it seems one has no protection from the vicious judgments of people who want nothing but to crush the anonymous confessor's spirit. It seems there is a lot of that impulse in the world right now. Very sad. I wish we would be more inclined to uplifting one another than destroying one another.
