Rakoras - 26-30 years old - male

Every now and then, I just don't feel anything. Things that I normal would laugh at, I just have a blank expression. And during these periods, a friend could have a parent die, and I would say sorry, and all the common responses, but I know I wouldn't actually feel sorry for them. Even though I would normally be crying with them and feel really bad for them in my normal state. Sometimes this only lasts 20 minutes, other times it can last for a couple days. It tends to happen more when I am tired or stressed. And I don't get it. Overall I'm a pretty emotional person. Just seeing another person crying makes me cry, and I cry easy when watching romance or drama.

the same thing happens to me. its not particularly bad, i mean, im not sad or depressed, im not in pain or anything. but im not happy or excited. im not at peace or conten, im not even sure if im content. my passion and drive disappears along with my emotions. i dont feel anything, for my friends or myself. i dont want anything from life and im pretty sure life doesnt want anything from me. its so annoying! things i cared about, valued, things that were meaningful just dont matter. nothing matters. nobody matters. i dont matter.

It's kinda nice too hear. Sucks you go through it too, but every other person I've told thinks it's some sadness bs. So does it worry you at all? Like maybe you'd do something bad, when you normally wouldn't even consider doing it? Like stealing or how ever far you wanna take it.

i worry about that alot. it wouldnt even register with me. this ... emotionlessness... puts me on the sidelines. i watch everything happen and i wait and wait and wait. i see everything thats going on but i dont really care. People on the sidelines cant interfere. so i know that i just cant interefere
