I have given the man I love way too much power over me. With one little text he can send my mood plummeting or soaring. Right now at least it's soaring, but for how long? I let him have too much power.

    Oh trust me, I don't want him to have the power. I'm starting to take my life back into my own hands and I'm taking the power back... and he likes it! And I like it! But I believe that in order to change a problem you must first acknowledge it, and I like to do that on EC.

    I have done the same.... having my moods depend on how others perceive me as, or depending on how much others care... unfortunately no one really cares about me but of how I can benefit them or please them....

    Seems you are repenting the deed and need to curtail the docility .You can always revert back if not under duress or financial dependence.

    His power is purely emotional. I'm not financially dependent thank God! I'm a submissive by nature so I care a little too much what people think of me. That's something I don't like about my own nature. But the support here actually has helped me a lot.
