How in the world does a relationship that never even happened have such power over my emotions?

Why does it feel like I lost something when I never even had it in the first place?

I'm a problem solver. I'm a fixer.

But I can't seem to answer these questions in my head or my heart and it is driving me insane!

I feel the same way about a situation I'm dealing with. It's complicated to analyze this and try to "fix" it. Sometimes there isn't a explanation for this. It was just feelings. These are so scary because you foster them yourself and yet they become difficult to tame and control when you are vulnerable and starting to have feelings for someone. It's an internal battle. Relationships are half in your head and half what you do in real life. If you're hurt, don't try to explain it. Just embrace your feelings. This person meant something to you, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Accepting it is the first step to moving on. Trust me I understand. Good luck! :-)
