Tattoos

I have lost count of how many times someone has seen my tattoos and said to me, "You don't strike me as the tattoos type". Since when is there a specific type of person who gets tattoos? Tattooing outdates the bible for Christ's sake (no pun intended). Can someone please tell me why in the blue hell it is that in 2012 it's considered a crazy and wild thing to do? Then 9 times out of 10 that remark is followed by the question, "So what made you decide to do that?". Um, I decided to get tattoos because I like tattoos. The same reason why you like sports, video games, cashmere sweaters, church or whatever it is that you like, I like tattoos. I don't owe you an explanation.
