Tonight, like every third monday of the month, I went to feed the homeless. I wasn't expecting much this time for whatever reason, but I met two very special people tonight who have touched my life. One was a little boy of nine years old named Juan. He stood up on stage and sang for the homeless people. He had an incredible voice, like nothing I'd ever heard and when asked if he sang a lot he said, "Only when I think people need to smile" So sweet! The second was a young lady by the name of Kirstin who had cerebral palsy. She gave her testimony about how she is at her strongest when she is praising God. She knew that even though she was unable to speak very well and the majority of her life was spent inside a hospital, she loved her life.

I read your post and it brought similar feelings to me. Last weekend I played Santa to home for handicapped children...they are great kids! There must have been 40 to 50 and it took almost 3 hours *I don't rush them). The whole night, we had no criers...

I get as much out of it, or more than they do, but I will especially remember one young man that was very very shy...skeptical...even scared to sit next to me. His name was Connor.

I get the kids to face their parents for the picture, then we wave Merry Christmas to them for the photo. Another photo with my arm wrapped around the, for a hug from Santa.

Connor enjoyed it and smiled. His mother came up to me afterwards and said her dream was to get a picture of him with Santa because he has never done that and was always afraid. She said it was her best Christmas ever.

    What a feeling!!!
