thoughts that are foreign to you?  Like when you are not paying attention, have thoughts about other people, but the point of view is not your own?  They are a little unsettling, not because of their content, but just because.  I like it, but it's weird.

Yes, it's like I get an image of someone from the deepest parts of my subconscious that had nothing lead up to it and how I find it intrusive for I cannot control it.

Sounds like you're experiencing telepathy. It's quite common, but most people don't become consciously aware of the impressions they're receiving -- they usually stay in the subconscious.

I feel like this at times. I think that everyone has the ability to recieve this kind of knowledge, but it takes someone with an open mind to actually listen to it and try to make sense of it all, and search for the meaning behind the message.

Intrusive thoughts (which come from within, but feel as if they arise from somewhere else) are common, especially with OCD but in other mental conditions also. Like their counterpart i.e. compulsions, most people experience them from time to time (in the case of intrusive thoughts, especially during bouts of flu or high fever, or times when food is scarce). However if they become overwhelming it make be a good time to make an appointment with a counselor and determine whether help might be appropriate.

Maybe a spirit guide is trying to communicate with you. I've heard it somewhere before that people are born with spirit guides that stick by your side to put you on the right path when things go wrong.

Agreed. Keep in mind that the messages we receive can come from positive and negative guides. To the OP, always practise the rule of discernment (go with your gut instinct).
