Rainy Night

The sound of the rain tapping on the bedroom window sounds so soothing and sweet while the shadows of the bedroom are consuming us. Lying here on these silken sheets I put my arm around you, your head resting on my chest. I can feel the heat of your body against mine as I listen to your soft and gentle breathing enticing so much, like everything about you has already. Holding you so close to me, I long to tell you about the way I feel about you, yet I do not speak, just watch you sleeping. You look so innocent, like an angel, and I am speechless from your beauty. I would love to stay awake watching you sleeping as the hours slowly pass, for if this is a dream then never let me wake from it, and if this is real... then may I never dream again. The raindrops continue to tap on the window pane as the roll of thunder is now so distant, but you are still here in my arms. The feel of your nakedness being so bewitching to me, I decide to hold you even closer to me now. I kiss your cheek gently and lovingly before sleep comes to me, knowing that when I wake, I will gaze into the beauty of your eyes and be enamored by you once again, forever to remember the love making we shared and the feel of your body as I am holding you close to me on this rainy night.
