I have stress induced seizures not epilepsy. I went to the ER tonight to take my mom who was ill but because of all the stress I ended up having a big episode. They put me in a room and monitored me but I overheard them telling other nurses I had psychological issues and was faking for attention. If only these people knew how much pain having a seizure is, epileptic or not they hurt the same. This is part of why I can't trust drs anymore.

Some of the lowest forms of life work in the medical field, Real scumbags and they get away with murder so often it's scary.

I know this all to well unfortunately. I had cancer when I was 19 and was neglected after surgery to the point of having shat myself and peed myself over seven days worth and no one ever took care of it. They denied me pain meds etc. seriously sick people

I had a seizure once and I wasn't in pain. I have heard others say that they can be painful sometimes (depending on the tension of the muscles during the spasm). You should discuss this with the doctor. Or perhaps finding another doctor to discuss it with would be a better idea.

I have already had the Mayo Clinic diagnose these seizures and they explained and understood how painful the types I have are. Thankfully some people get it

I wasn't trying to say that I don't believe they're painful. I was luckily not in pain with mine. I actually heard someone say they think they went into shock while experiencing the pain. That makes me cringe. I was only trying to say that the pain isn't automatic and should be a discussion with your doctor. I worded my comment poorly and don't want you to think I am unsympathetic, like the ER staff was. I'm glad you have someone that understands it. Hopefully you can avoid that ER in the future. They sound like the heartless drones that work at my local ER.

The next time you bump into that doctor I would bring it up.
