She found a warm place in my heart and played it cool. I aborted one million unborn tears when I told her goodbye. Armed only with my love, and this knife I pulled out of my back I would do it all again.

    There is no longer a warm place in my heart and the illusion of love has no place there either. My whole being is in the raw, but I have found happiness in it.

    I know... love has never worked for me long term.... I vowed never to fall in love again... Using this pain to explore yourself is all you can do. In fact the best art is produced when in such a state. Talking about which - Your poems are very good. You can exist just fine w/o love, but when it DOES find you, just when you thought you had it all figured out, tucked away, minding your own business, quite content, you will again remember what the fuss is all about, and how, if you even get so lucky to love and be loved - you grab it, as this is the magic in this life.... it really is, you wouldn't be writing your poems if not for your broken heart. Sorry to be such a diehard romantic.
