I was finally blessed with a day all to myself with nothing pressing to do, so I went hiking. I am starting school in the fall, to try and make something out of myself, so I'm taking the summer to prep myself in all ways (mentally, spiritually, physically) for the daunting task ahead of me. To give some background on my confession, I will say I have felt/been outside of emotional nurturing for most of my life. I'm pretty sure my mother has disliked me and struggled to sincerely love me pretty much from the start (and is unfortunately too simple-minded to realize the root of her disdain), and I had to bear the brunt of her leftover feelings about my so-called father (whom I've never known),… [more]
