Death in a Dream | What does it mean when I dream about death?

To dream of seeing any of your people dead, warns you of coming dissolution or sorrow. Disappointments always follow dreams of this nature. To hear of any friend or relative being dead, you will soon have bad news from some of them. Dreams relating to death or dying, unless they are due to spiritual causes, are misleading and very confusing to the novice in dream lore when he attempts to interpret them. A man who thinks intensely fills his aura with thought or subjective images active with the passions that gave them birth; by thinking and acting on other lines, he may supplant these images with others possessed of a different form and nature. In his dreams he may see these images dying, dead or their burial, and mistake them for friends or enemies. In this way he may, while asleep, see himself or a relative die, when in reality he has been warned that some good thought or deed is to be supplanted by an evil one. To illustrate: If it is a dear friend or relative whom he sees in the agony of death, he is warned against immoral or other improper thought and action, but if it is an enemy or some repulsive object dismantled in death, he may overcome his evil ways and thus give himself or friends cause for joy. Often the end or beginning of suspense or trials are foretold by dreams of this nature. They also frequently occur when the dreamer is controlled by imaginary states of evil or good. A man in that state is not himself, but is what the dominating influences make him. He may be warned of approaching conditions or his extrication from the same. In our dreams we are closer to our real self than in waking life. The hideous or pleasing incidents seen and heard about us in our dreams are all of our own making, they reflect the true state of our soul and body, and we cannot flee from them unless we drive them out of our being by the use of good thoughts and deeds, by the power of the spirit within us. I dont agree with the autor of this! Death dreams usually mean that problems die and usually something good will happen - money coming for needs, ego dies - means some good change! If you dream yourself dying or dead means, that something good is happening to you - success or happiness related often with poorness or lack of money problems! If you dream yourself bleeding and dead - means that the dream is serious and happiness is realy comming! If youre going be executed by firing squad in your dream that means respect in your job and career - job growth and profit from your work! I have had dreams when friends of mine die but then it means their problems are ending (lack of money, lonelyness) Sometimes you may dream that you die when you are practically very tired and need double sleep - my advice is if you dream your death then just relax in the dream, relax your thoughts too - sometimes its nicer then you think - in the morning you wake up fresh and double relaxed then - I have done it few times in dreams

Yes, has also been the same with me from personal experience in general, meaning I am going to actually lose that person for good, so I really relate to what you are saying there. Dreaming of death means a major change, not always death, but whether that change is good or bad is another matter, not alll change is good, and for everyone it will different.

I'm originaly from Serbia and people from Eastern Europe are quite superstitious. From everyone I heard that by dreaming of someone die you prolong his life,so it's nothing negative, it doesn't mean death is coming for real. But I guess if something is strange about the corpse then it might be dodgy. I recently had a dream of a guy im in love with dying,but his face expression was quite scary since his eyes were pointed directly at me and there was something shadowy about them,some black or blue dots. And at first it wasn't him but his face changed. So I guess he is hiding something or is two-faced,but about the dark part I really dunno. If someone could help me..

I don't agree with this author's point of view. I don't think that dreaming of dying or death means some kind of death is actually going to occur --or that the true desires of our souls lay in our dreams. Most of the time, our dreams don't mean anything, or don't mean much. If you dream about a loved one or relative dying, it generally just means you're worried about him or her. For example, my mother had a dream that her mother was going to die. In the dream, she saw my already dead grandfather coming to her and pulling at her arm while she was lying in her hospital bed. My grandmother was, in fact, already very ill and she died a short time later. But she didn't die from that dream. That dream wasn't a sort of signal, from my point of view. It just meant that my mother was worried about what would happen, and what did happen, to my grandmother. Our dreams are created by our subconscious, but they are most of the time inspired by our daily thoughts and fears and desires. Dreams just morphs those thoughts into something very confusing sometimes, something that may not be connected to the thought.

To dream of death means your going to die NOT NOPE NOT TRUE. Sorry just had to put a crude joke. My APOLOGIES. I believe it means that something in your life is going to change. Means certain situation is coming to a end. It also can mean if its someone around you that something is going to a end. meaning with a relationship a friendship,job etc A past or future situation that needs to end. Or something in your life in past situation is going to end. In order for new things to come into out lives we have to end past behaviors that make us keep with the same habits over and over again. You just need to figure out what exactly what needs to end in your life. Don't mean your going to fall off the earth.

To dream of death means the fear of the unknown, death is not an experience we face on a daily basis, for some its dreaded with fear and terrifying uncertainty. I believe dreams of things happening such as death, that the observer is dreaming for a reason, it could be a test from god. Or it could be that you are afraid of something that awaits us all, death. Not a comforting destination we are not looking for. Let me assure you, death is peaceful. Not scary in any way, know the father who gave you life and live to serve him. Death has no authority over you then.
